Citrine is the yellow and orange variety of quartz, SiO2.  It is used as the birthstone for November.  Most of our citrine comes from Brazil.  Citrine wears very well with a hardness of 7 on the mohs scale.  Its refractive index is 1.544 to 1.553 and the crystal system is trigonal.  The following citrine gemstones represent part of our stock:   Click on the "(PIC)" to view the gemstones
