SAPPHIRE GEMSTONES
Sapphire, Al2O3, is the non red variety of corundum. Sapphire gemstones are the birthstone for September. The red variety of corundum is ruby. The blue variety is by far the most popular, however sapphire gemstones come in almost every shade of the rainbow.
